Marijuana Use PSA Poster Campaign

Recreational marijuana use is legal in a handful of states and is on track to becoming legal in more. While its use may be legal, it is important to point out that its abuse can have serious effects. Marijuana has negative effects on many brain functions including learning, memory, attention, and motivation. These effects can last after the immediate effects wear off, especially in people who use marijuana regularly. Someone who uses daily may be functioning at a reduced intellectual level most or all of the time. This would be like having part of your brain functioning erased, covered, or marred and unusable, as depicted in these PSA posters. Research was performed to understand marijuana and its affects on individuals. A main topic was chosen and visuals explored. Variations on the chosen visual were then experimented with and a layout created and refined.
