The Main Salmon River or, "River of No Return" as it is known; is the perfect juxtaposition of relaxing vacation and thrilling adventure. The numerous class III and IV rapids are certainly exciting for anyone, but they are also manageable for the first time inflatable kayaker. The charter plane flight into small-town Idaho adds a unique sense of adventure. Floating through the continental United States largest wilderness area and second deepest canyon gives an unparalleled feeling of escape and remoteness not attainable in most other places of the country.

Simply everything about the Main Salmon River makes it America's premier adventure rafting vacation. At five or six days it's do-able with a week off of work but long enough you can go home feeling re-charged. It has spectacular whitewater combined with warm water and good weather. The scenery is steep, rugged and forbidding making it beautiful and exciting. Full lodge trips open this adventure up to those who don't want to sleep on the ground. There is something special about a hot shower after a day of paddling. For those who like sleeping under the stars, the large beaches nestled in the shade of pine trees make for ideal camp settings. Every true wilderness trip has wildlife and the Salmon River has it in abundance. On a typical trip it's common to see big horn sheep, deer, black bears, and even the occasional moose. Whatever you are looking for in a river trip, you will find it here, nestled in the canyon of the, "River of No Return". Our standard trip here is a 6 day, 6 night trip. It starts off with charter plane flight from Boise Idaho to Salmon Idaho. From Salmon it's a bus ride to the put-in at our lodge for the night.
